Foundations

Foundations typically work with a number of grantees with similar missions undertaking similar activities to fulfill them. This overlap can result in a duplication of efforts ("wheel re-inventing") and can waste precious foundation resources. Additionally, many foundations report that efforts by to foster closer collaboration among grantees produce mixed results at best.

Adaptive blueprinting, on the other hand, is a proven method for promoting meaningful partnerships among like-minded NGOs as they work together to replicate blueprints with a track record of promising results. Global Gain is excited about the opportunity to lead the way in sharing this strategy with foundations that understand just how powerful an impact it will have on the lives of underprivileged groups around the globe.

Global Gain serves foundations in the following ways:

  • Identifying projects among grantees ideal for blueprinting
  • Identifying new grantees with the strongest potential for successfully scaling-out innovative programs they've developed
  • Working directly with grantees to strategies for scaling out blueprints
  • Helping them incorporate principles of AB and scaling-out into their own strategies-- i.e., sharing our knowledge to enable them to do what we do

In addition, Global Gain has partnered with GiveIndia and Credibility Alliance to provide foundations with due diligence services on grantees and potential grantees in India. Together with these partners, Global Gain is able to ensure foundations that their money is being utilized to its fullest potential, ensuring the social returns on investment they seek.
